"Nothing comes merely by thinking about it."

John Wanamaker.

One of the greatest decisions I ever made was to go back to school to advance my skills in web design after earning a Bachelor of Arts degree from Kansas State University. I had to make a lot of sacrifices, but it strengthened my abilities and expanded my knowledge.

For the past three years, I have been working locally in Lenexa at an advertising agency producing college website designs, completing front-end work, and designing and creating HTML files for email marketing. These high-performing websites and emails have been crucial in producing lead-generation for our clients. This experience has also allowed me the opportunity to expand, as well as strengthen my understanding of responsive design and user experience. The opportunity to complete my designs in addition to other layouts produced by co-workers has been very beneficial in refining my skills as a designer and increasing my skill level.

As an employee, some of my email marketing materials have won awards, such as the bronze AMBIT award from the Kansas City Direct Marketing Association. I have also won a silver and two bronze student ADDY awards for work I completed as a student at Johnson County Community College.
